EICR Inspection
Electrical installations should be inspected and tested regularly due to deterioration though age and everyday wear and tear. Periodic inspection and testing ensures that electrical installations are in a satisfactory condition and safe for continued use. An EICR (Electrical Condition Report) will be issued for satisfactory installations once the checks have been completed.
At Test & Go Ltd our EICR inspection will:

Emergency Lighting
At Test & Go Ltd we follow the industry standard testing procedure when carrying out emergency lighting testing. We recommend inspection and tests at regular intervals as follows. The emergency lighting systems functional test should be carried out monthly in accordance with BS EN 50172:2004 / BS 5266-8:2004.
The duration of the test should be sufficient to ensure that the luminaire operates correctly, whilst minimising any damage to the system components, e.g. lamps, battery etc.

Our full PAT test includes visual inspection, testing with PAT testing equipment, earth continuity, resistance, insulation and lead polarity. Certain types of appliances only require a PAT insulation test. Appliances will be passed or failed and marked appropriately.
Fire Alarm Testing
Test & Go Ltd follow the British Standard regulations when testing fire alarms which state, that fire alarms should be tested once a week by the responsible person or persons. This requirement appears under Article 17 of the 2005 Fire Order Safety Act. The test will ensure that the fire alarm system is operating correctly and safely.
